The Woodlands Bald Eagles
The Bald Eagles have called The Woodlands their home for nearly 20 years. There are two nesting pairs in the area. These photos are from the nest off Lake Front Cir, behind Hughes Landing. Currently there is a male and female adult. Last year there were two Eaglets that hatched very close to Christmas day. You will be able to view the Eagles and sometimes the kiddos until about April. This is when the eaglets should have learned to fly. Once they leave the nest, the adults take off for the rest of the year, returning each year around the end November, fortifying their old nest or building a new one for the preparation of the current year's eaglets.
